Why Choose Panda White Marble

No Two Slabs Alike Black veining varies dramatically between slabs, so your counter carries a pattern nobody else has.
Striking Appearance The highest natural contrast in our marble range, which is why it is chosen for islands and feature walls.
Naturally Cool Marble feels cool to the touch because it pulls heat from your hands, which is why pastry has always been rolled on it.
Increases Your Home’s Resale Value Buyers notice real stone. Marble reads as a permanent upgrade rather than a surface treatment, so it works for you again on the day you sell.

What Is Panda White Marble?

Black veining so bold it reads as brushwork.

Panda White is a white marble crossed by wide, sweeping black veins that fork and taper across the slab. The contrast is far stronger than in any Italian white, which is where the name comes from.

It is quarried in China, and the black veining is a different mineral rather than a darker shade of the same stone. That is why the edges stay sharp instead of feathering the way gray Carrara veins do.

No two slabs are close to matching. On some the black dominates and on others it is a single stroke across a mostly white field, so tell us which you want rather than ordering by name alone.

It is most often used where the slab is meant to be looked at: islands, feature walls, vanities and splashbacks. Used as a plain working counter, the pattern is arguably wasted.

How Do You Clean Panda White Marble?

Three habits, and the white ground stays white.

1

Keep It Away from Acidic Substances

Lemon, vinegar, wine and tomato dull the polish within minutes. Marble is calcium carbonate and acid dissolves it, so response time matters more than the product you reach for.

2

Use Only Marble-Safe Cleaner

Vinegar sprays and general-purpose cleaners are acidic themselves and cause the damage you are trying to prevent. A marble cleaner lifts grease without touching the polish.

3

Blot Spills and Drips Promptly

Wiping spreads a spill across more of an absorbent stone. Blotting with a folded cloth lifts liquid straight up and keeps the affected area small, which matters on a bright white ground.

We stock specially-formulated stone care products at every branch, so you are not guessing in a supermarket aisle.

How Do You Care for Panda White Marble?

High contrast shows everything, which cuts both ways.

1

Reseal as Needed

Sealer wears with use rather than to a schedule. Put a few drops of water on an inconspicuous part of the counter, and if the stone darkens underneath within 15 minutes it is ready for another coat.

2

Always Use Coasters and Trays

Marble sits at 3 on the Mohs scale, softer than a ceramic mug base. Coasters under glasses and a tray under bottles keep rings and chipping off the surface.

3

Always Use a Cutting Board

Marble is softer than a steel knife, so cutting straight on the counter scratches the polish and dulls the blade at the same time. A board protects both.

Is Panda White Marble Good for Kitchen Countertops?

It works best where the slab is meant to be seen.

Yes, with the same caveat that applies to every marble. Acid etches it, knives mark it, and no sealer prevents either.

There is a second consideration specific to this stone. A pattern this assertive is a commitment. It reads beautifully on an island or a splashback, where it functions as the visual center of the room, and it can feel relentless across four meters of working counter.

The layout most owners land on uses Panda White where it will be looked at and a quieter material where the cooking happens. A black granite such as Absolute Black beside it picks up the veining without competing.

For a maintenance-free version of the same idea, Nero Calacatta quartz gives you bold charcoal veining on white that never etches and never needs sealing.

Does Panda White Marble Need Sealing?

Sealing stops stains. Nothing stops etching.

Yes. Marble is porous, so oil and pigment seep into the stone rather than sitting on it. An impregnating sealer fills that pore structure and gives you time to reach a spill before it becomes a mark.

Pay particular attention to the white ground. Oil marks show far more plainly against white than against the black veining, so the sealer is doing most of its visible work on part of the slab rather than all of it.

Test rather than follow a calendar. Put a few drops of water on an inconspicuous part of the counter, leave them 15 minutes, and wipe it off. If the stone beneath has darkened, it is absorbing and wants sealing. A kitchen counter can want it as often as every six months; a vanity will go longer.

A sealed slab still etches, because etching is a reaction with the stone itself rather than something soaking into it.

Panda White vs Our Other Veined Whites

Same idea, four different volumes.

Panda White has the highest contrast

Wide black veins on white, with sharp edges rather than soft ones. Choose it when the stone is meant to be the subject of the room.

Arabescato is bold but gray

Arabescato carries heavy sweeping veining in gray rather than black, which reads as strong without being graphic. Choose it for drama with a softer register.

Calacatta is the classic

Calacatta gives you a small number of heavy gray veins on warm white. It is the pattern most people picture when they think of marble.

Nero Calacatta quartz removes the maintenance

Nero Calacatta reproduces bold dark veining on white in engineered quartz at ₱8,500 per sqm, with no etching and no sealing.

What Colors Go With Panda White Marble?

Black and white sets the palette, so let the room stay quiet.

The stone already contains the strongest contrast in the room, which means the cabinetry does not need to add any. Plain white, soft gray and pale timber all work because they step back and let the veining carry the interest.

Black cabinetry is the exception worth considering. Matching the veining rather than contrasting with it produces a controlled, graphic result, though it needs good lighting to avoid feeling heavy.

For hardware, matte black is the natural fit and chrome the safe one. Brass introduces a warm note that the cool black-and-white palette does not really support.

Avoid a patterned splashback entirely. With this slab behind or beside it, anything else with a pattern simply argues.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Panda White real marble?

Yes. It is a quarried metamorphic stone with marble’s chemistry and marble’s behavior, which means it etches with acid and needs sealing. The unusually sharp black veining comes from a different mineral running through the white ground rather than from any manufacturing process.

Where does Panda White marble come from?

China. It has been quarried and exported for decades and is widely used across Asia for feature surfaces. Supply is generally steady, though vein character varies enough between blocks that two orders can look noticeably different.

Do the slabs match each other?

No, and with this stone the variation is dramatic. One slab may carry a single black stroke and the next a dense network. A kitchen needing more than one slab should have them brought in together from the same block.

Does sealing prevent Panda White from etching?

No. Sealing blocks absorption and prevents staining. Etching is a chemical reaction between acid and the calcium carbonate in the stone and happens at the surface regardless of sealer. This applies to every marble, not just this one.

Is Panda White good for a bathroom?

Yes, and it is one of the best uses for it. A vanity or a shower surround sees no acid and no knives, so the stone stays as installed. The strong veining also suits a smaller space, where a single slab can carry the whole room.

Can Panda White marble be book-matched?

Yes, and the effect is striking. Two consecutive slabs opened like a book mirror the black veining across the join, which reads as a deliberate composition. Ask for it before cutting, because it requires slabs from the same block in sequence.

Can Panda White marble be used for flooring?

Yes, with a honed finish rather than polished. Polished marble is slippery when wet and shows scratching from grit underfoot. Bear in mind that a bold pattern underfoot across a large area reads very differently from the same pattern on a counter.

Where can you buy Panda White marble in the Philippines?

Stone Depot offers Panda White marble at branches in Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo and Laguna. Marble is indent order, so your slab is brought in for your project rather than held in the yard. Ask your branch about current lead time.

This is the stone where seeing the actual slab matters most, because the veining differs so widely between them. All branches are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and you are welcome to visit or contact any branch.
