What Is Super White Nano Crystallized Glass?

The whitest, flattest surface we sell. And it is not stone.

Super White is a nano crystallized glass panel, also sold as nano glass, crystallized glass or micro-crystal stone. It is a brilliant, uniform pure white with a fine crystalline sparkle under light and a high-gloss polished surface.

There is essentially no veining or pattern in it, only the faintest soft clouding at close range. That makes it whiter and flatter than Moonstone quartz, which is the closest thing to it in our range.

It is a glass-ceramic rather than a stone. Silica-based mineral powders, mostly quartz sand and feldspar, are melted at very high temperature and then crystallized under controlled cooling into a dense, uniform body.

That matters because it is neither natural stone nor engineered quartz nor sintered stone, and the three get conflated constantly. There is no resin binder as in quartz, and the manufacturing route is different from sintered stone.

How Do You Clean Super White?

Three habits, and no sealer to work around.

Clean as You Go

Water absorption is near zero, so spills sit on the surface. A soft cloth clears everything, and stain resistance is genuinely excellent rather than merely good.

Use Only Stone Cleaner

A neutral stone cleaner keeps the gloss even. Harsh sprays are less of a threat here than on resin-bound quartz, but there is no reason to use them.

Never Use Abrasive Pads

Scouring pads and powders dull a high-gloss surface, and gloss is the whole reason to choose this material. A plastic scraper lifts anything dried on.

How Do You Care for Super White?

No sealing. The care is all about impact and heat.

Always Use Trivets

The material is sensitive to thermal shock and can crack under sudden heat. This is not resin scorching as it is on quartz; it is the panel itself reacting to a rapid temperature change.

Protect Edges and Cutouts

It is hard but brittle, so it chips where it is struck. Edges, corners and the internal corners of a cutout are the vulnerable points, and a dropped pan is the usual cause.

Always Use a Cutting Board

Scratch resistance is excellent, so a board here protects your knives more than the panel. It also keeps hard impacts away from the surface.

Is Super White Good for Kitchen Countertops?

Not for the work zone. We would steer you elsewhere.

No. Not for a kitchen counter with a sink and a hob in it. The material is hard but brittle, and cutouts are where that becomes a problem.

A sink or hob opening creates internal corners that concentrate stress, and unlike an outside edge you cannot bevel or laminate a hole in the middle of a panel. It stays exposed for the life of the counter, and that is where chips happen during fabrication and where a dropped pan lands in service.

Repairs are the second problem. Fillers bond poorly to a near-zero-porosity surface, so a chip is difficult to make invisible in a way it would not be on granite or marble.

For a kitchen work zone, Moonstone quartz gives a comparable bright white with none of that risk, and granite handles heat better than either. We would rather sell you the right surface than the whitest one.

Does Super White Need Sealing?

No. Water absorption is close to zero.

No. The body is dense and non-porous, so there is no pore structure for a sealer to fill. Applying one leaves a film on the surface and achieves nothing useful.

Stain resistance follows from the same property. Wine, turmeric and cooking oil sit on the surface and wipe away, which is a real advantage on a surface this white.

It is also UV stable, so unlike engineered quartz it will not yellow in strong daylight or outdoors. That opens up façades, terraces and sunlit interiors that quartz cannot serve.

Chemical resistance is good and scratch resistance is excellent. The weaknesses are impact and thermal shock, not porosity.

Super White vs the Alternatives

Three white surfaces, and one is not stone at all.

Super White is the whitest and most uniform

Pure white with a crystalline sparkle, UV stable and non-porous. Choose it for cladding, feature walls and reception counters where the brilliance is the point.

Moonstone quartz is the safer kitchen white

Moonstone at ₱6,200 per sqm is a fine grained white that tolerates cutouts and impact far better. Dearer, less brilliant, and the right answer for a working counter.

Caesar White granite is the natural option

Caesar White at ₱3,300 per sqm is a cool flecked white granite. It takes a hot pan, costs considerably less, and needs sealing in return.

Sintered stone shares the same weakness

Sintered stone is also hard, brittle and poor at cutouts, and we do not stock it or recommend it for counters. If you have been offered it for a kitchen, the same reasoning applies as here.

Where Does Super White Work Best?

Large flat surfaces with dressed, unbroken edges.

Wall cladding and feature walls are the strongest use. There are no cutouts, nothing gets dropped on a wall, and a brilliant uniform white across a large surface is exactly what this material does better than anything else we carry.

Reception and display counters follow the same logic. A hotel lobby, a showroom or a shopfront counter takes the visual benefit without a sink and hob creating stress points.

Vanity tops work if the basin is mounted above rather than cut into the panel. A vessel basin sitting on the surface avoids the internal corner that an undermount would create.

Flooring and façades suit it too, helped by the UV stability. For color scheming, treat it as a pure neutral: it carries no undertone at all, so it sits with any cabinetry color and reads coldest against warm timber.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Super White natural stone?
No. It is a glass-ceramic made by melting silica-based mineral powders and crystallizing them under controlled cooling. It is not natural stone, not engineered quartz and not sintered stone, though all three get confused with it.

How is it different from engineered quartz?
Quartz is crushed natural quartz bound with polymer resin. Super White has no resin in it at all. That makes it UV stable where quartz yellows, but also more brittle at edges and cutouts, and sensitive to thermal shock.

Can I use it for a kitchen countertop?
We would steer you away from it for a counter with a sink and hob. Cutouts create internal corners that concentrate stress, chips are difficult to repair invisibly, and a dropped pan is a real risk. Quartz or granite is the better answer there.

Can you put a hot pan on it?
No. It is sensitive to thermal shock and can crack under a sudden temperature change. This is different from quartz, where the resin scorches, but the practical rule is the same: always use trivets.

Does it need sealing?
Never. Water absorption is close to zero and there is no pore structure to fill. Cleaning with a pH-neutral product is the whole maintenance routine.

Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. It is UV stable, so unlike engineered quartz it will not yellow or fade in strong daylight. That makes it suitable for façades, terraces and sunlit interiors.
